Circuits
for Women uses
commercial hydraulic fitness machines that enable users to get a combination strength-training
and cardiovascular workout. Each machine provides resistance in two directions—the
"pull" direction and the "push" direction of the exercise
routine. Increased resistance
is accomplished by increasing the speed of movement.
When you
"Do the Circuit" with us, your workout will be completed using hydraulic
fitness machines that work the lower, the middle, and the upper parts of
the body. Circuits' equipment includes the following:
Ø
Leg Press Machine
Ø
Lift Task Machine
Ø
Inner/Outer Thigh Machine
Ø
Abdominal/Low Back Machine
Ø
Rotary Torso Machine
Ø
Pec Fly/Rear Deltoids Machine
Ø
Shoulder Press/Lat Pull-Down Machine
Ø
Chest Press/Row Machine
Ø
Glute Machine
Because circuit training uses the
"work and recovery" training concept, the use of each hydraulic machine
is followed by the use of a "recovery" board to bring the heart rate
down before moving to the next machine. Circuits' state-of-the-art hydraulic machines provide automatic, independent cylinder adjustments for a workout that's custom
made for each user and fitness style, eliminating those unwanted plateaus so
often found in other women's fitness programs.
Other Equipment
In addition to our 30-minute circuit-training
equipment, our members may also work out on a treadmill and an
elliptical cross trainer by Life Fitness®, a leading manufacturer of
fitness equipment. Elliptical cross trainers have become very popular in
the fitness industry, largely because they provide a total-body workout
while having low impact on muscles and joints.
